June 5, 2013, Abbotsford, BC – Kindergarten students from Prince Charles Elementary in Abbotsford, B.C., received some expert advice on growing potatoes recently from Bill Zylmans of W & A Farms in Richmond, B.C.
The visit was part of B.C. Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation’s Spuds in Tubs program, which now has 200 provincial classrooms growing potatoes. The program introduces students to the joys of growing their own food. It helps them make the connection between the food they buy in the store and the farmers who grow it. READ MORE
