BASF Canada hires new director of sales

BASF Canada Agricultural Solutions has hired Bill Baxter as their new director of sales. Baxter was most recently director of commercial excellence for BASF Agricultural Products North America. 

In this role, Baxter will lead BASF’s team of sales professionals and the advancement of the sales function within Canada. Baxter will be located in Calgary and assumes the role starting July 1.

“Bill has shown excellent leadership in his career with BASF, and we look forward to seeing his impact on further empowering the sales team to support our retail channel partners and Canadian farmers with the tools and agronomic support they need to succeed,” says Jonathan Sweat, vice-president, business management for BASF Canada, in a press release.

Baxter brings over 35 years of agricultural sales and marketing to the position, including nearly 25 years with BASF. His deep roots in agriculture make him an excellent fit for the role. 

“This opportunity allows me to return to an area that I truly love – sales and serving our farmer customers and retail channel partners,” says Baxter in a press release. “The incredible portfolio and future innovation in Canada are compelling and I am thrilled to be joining this talented and dedicated team.”
