Potato growers who prefer a dry fungicide seed application have the option to double their protection with new Genesis XT – the first and only seed piece treatment that provides both insect and disease control in a new dry dust formulation. Genesis XT, from Bayer CropScience, contains a convenient premix of the proven insect control of imidacloprid, with added fusarium control and rhizoctonia suppression. It’s the only combination of its kind to protect potatoes right from the start, improving overall plant health. Applied as a dust, Genesis XT
controls Colorado potato beetle, aphids, potato leafhopper and over-wintering adult potato flea beetles, as well as providing control of Fusarium dry rot (Fusarium spp.), and suppression of black scurf and stolon canker (Rhizoctonia solani). Genesis XT contains both a Group
4 insecticide and Groups 1 and M
fungicides.
