B.C. farm workers say they are “hostages”

October 4, 2012, Abbotsford, BC – Two Mexican seasonal workers employed on an Abbotsford, B.C., farm say they are being denied their contractual rights to either go to work on another farm or be sent back to their homeland.

The two men stopped working 10 days ago because they allege their supervisor was abusive. Now they say the employer won’t allow them to leave. READ MORE
