Canada to monitor, not bar Mexican farm workers

April 27, 2009, Ottawa, Ont. – Mexican workers needed for Canada’s
growing season will be allowed to enter the country, Canadian officials
have indicated.

April 27, 2009, Ottawa, Ont. – Mexican workers needed for Canada’s growing season will be allowed to enter the country, Canadian officials have indicated.

As part of the mandatory physical examination seasonal or temporary workers from Mexico currently undergo before travelling to Canada, they will also have to have their temperature checked by two doctors before they leave Mexico.
