Canadian growers will soon have access to a new class of herbicide formulations that allow sulfonylurea herbicides to be delivered as liquids. Launched by Bayer CropScience, the company’s first new product entry in Canada based on the innovative OD (oil dispersion) technology is Option® Liquid, the first and only liquid sulfonylurea available here.

Liquid Option comes in two 6.3-L jugs per case – enough to treat 20 acres. The new formulation is conveniently measurable for ease of use on odd-sized fields, too. Option Liquid is to be used in conjunction with
liquid 28 per cent nitrogen fertilizer at 2.5 L/ha.

Option offers growers unmatched crop safety and flexibility with a sulfonylurea labelled for application from the one to eight leaf stage of corn and can be tank-mixed with a wide range of broadleaf partners.
