Fresh cranberry production surges in Quebec

July 2, 2014, Quebec City, Que – Canneberges Quebec, one of two Quebec cranberry growers for the fresh market, is on track to sell 40 per cent more fresh berries this year.

Total production for the province’s nearly 80 cranberry growers was about 160 million pounds while this year’s crop is projected to be closer to 140 million pounds.

Canneberges Quebec has increased its distribution at home, in Quebec chain stores and independents and in Europe. READ MORE
