B.C. ag minister takes heat for ALC

November 15, 2013, Victoria, BC – B.C. Agriculture Minister Pat Pimm is under fire for repeatedly urging the Agricultural Land Commission to exclude a 70-hectare parcel of farmland in his riding from the protection of the Agricultural Land Reserve to build a rodeo ground and campsite.

Pimm’s actions spurred calls for his resignation from the NDP opposition and critics who say Pimm committed an ethical blunder and fear the government is planning to tamper with the mandate and function of the commission. READ MORE
