AgraPoint International board members appointed

Nova Scotia’s Minister of
Agriculture recently appointed a new board of directors and interim CEO
of AgraPoint International Inc.

agrapoint_logoNova Scotia’s Minister of Agriculture recently appointed a new board of directors and interim CEO of AgraPoint International Inc.

Established in 2001, AgraPoint provides services to the Nova Scotia agriculture industry in horticulture, livestock and poultry, field crops, pest-control management and food safety.

The new AgraPoint board members are Ken Mounce (chair), John Moloney, Dr. Leslie MacLaren, Greg Sheffer, Dr. Robert Gordon, Richard Melvin, Linda MacDonald, Herman Berfelo, G. Brian Smith and Susan Payne.      
 
The minister also appointed George Smith as chief executive officer (CEO) for a one-year term while the board becomes familiar with the organization and assesses its needs.

The appointments were made after the resignation of the CEO and recent vacancies on the board.

AgraPoint is a Crown corporation with offices in Kentville, Truro and Cape Breton.¶
