GPI announces new executive director

announced the appointment of a new executive director.
Guelph Partnership for Innovation (GPI), a consortium of life science stakeholders committed to making Guelph a top five life science centre in North America, recently announced the appointment of a new executive director.
Jim Wadleigh joins GPI with more than 30 years of experience working with innovation and commercialization of new technologies, in marketing and management, and most recently, as general manager of Ontario Feed, Land O’Lakes Inc. He brings to GPI a diverse and well-balanced set of skills, developed as a business leader and in volunteer service.
An experienced leader and manager in private and co-operative business, leading R&D, manufacturing, sales and volunteer organizations, Wadleigh is also active in service to local and world communities, skilled at strategic and tactical organization and hands-on execution, with a strong commitment to building community capacity.
Barb Maly, business development specialist with the City of Guelph and the past acting executive director for GPI, will continue to provide business development and marketing support for GPI.
Wadleigh holds a M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Guelph and a BA majoring in Biology from Mount Allison University.
