Metaltech-Omega Inc., based in Laval, Quebec, recently launched the Metaltech Telescopic Ladder (www.metaltechladder.com), which features a revolutionary telescopic system. When fully deployed, the Metaltech Telescopic Ladder provides a 16-foot (4.9 m) reach. When retracted, it measures just 30 inches (45 cm) in height, thanks to its tubular design, which allows its components to slide into one another. It can be quickly stored in a cupboard or under a bed and fits easily into the trunk or back seat of even the most compact car. Weighing just 25 lbs. (11.4 kg), transporting the ladder is effortless. Manufactured with TYPE 6061-T6 aluminum, similar to that used in the aerospace industry and recognized for its resistance and durability, the ladder also responds ideally to commercial needs. In addition to its head office in Laval, the company operates distribution centres in Toronto, Vancouver and Florida. It’s expected the ladder will be sold in more than 1,500 hardware stores and home renovation centres across Canada.
