Girl injured after being trapped in potato conveyor

injuries after becoming trapped in a potato conveyor belt in southwestern
Manitoba.

Carberry
RCMP say they received a 911 call for assistance and found the teen stuck
between the belt and the motor support bracket.

Police
say the girl slipped as she was trying to cross over the conveyor while it was
moving.

Fire
and rescue workers were able to free the girl, who was taken to Brandon General
Hospital, where she is listed as stable.

Manitoba health and safety
officials are investigating.
