October 12, 2011, Charlottetown, PEI – The World Potato Congress’ industry awards nomination deadline is approaching. To insure that deserving individuals are recognized, applications should be completed and forwarded soon. The World Potato Congress awards recognize lifetime contributions from individuals to the potato industry. Typically four outstanding individuals are recognized during the awards presentation ceremony held at the triennial congress. The next congress will be held at Edinburgh, Scotland, in May 2012. The application form and submission instructions appear on the World Potato Congress website at www.potatocongress.org. Applications close on November 1st 2011. All submissions will be acknowledged. The awards committee will assess all written applications and make appropriate recommendations to the WPC board.
