Wild Rose Agricultural Producers changes name

June 4, 2013 – Alberta’s largest general farm organization is now the Alberta Federation of Agriculture, formerly Wild Rose Agricultural Producers.

President Lynn Jacobson says the group is proud of its long history of advocating for policies and support systems that foster a healthy agriculture industry.

Jacobson adds while the group’s focus remains on general farm issues, it also wants to include commodity groups, not-for-profit agricultural organizations and agri-businesses on its board of directors in addition to producers.
