Updated 2020 Canadian Organic Standards have been published

Organic producers: the long wait is over, and the time for action has come.

As detailed in a recent feature, the 2020 Canadian Organic Standards (COS) review has been completed and, as of Dec. 11, published. Producers have until Dec. 11, 2021, to comply with the revised clauses.

The Organic Federation of Canada has put together several resources on the main changes and how to adapt. These include a point-by-point comparison of the 2015 and 2020 standards, articles highlighting the major changes, and the final Q&A issued by the Standards Interpretation Committee.
