November 25, 2019  By Government of Ontario

Longo’s #34 in Stouffville has won Foodland Ontario’s Consumer’s Choice contest for its display of Ontario apples.

The contest had consumers from across the province vote for their favourite grocery display of Ontario apples, using Facebook and Instagram.

“Congratulations to Longo’s #34 in Stouffville for showcasing the depth and breadth of apple varieties grown in our province,” Ernie Hardeman, minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said. “Your participation in the Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards program helps inform shoppers about the variety of great produce grown right here in Ontario. When we choose to buy local, we’re supporting our farmers, our environment and our economy.”
