Registration now open for Guelph Organic Conference

January 12, 2021  By Fruit and Vegetable

Growers interested in learning more about organic production practices can now register for the Guelph Organic Conference.

Rather than the usual four-day live event, the 2021 Guelph Organic Conference consists of five online seminars across five days. These free seminars will take place at 1 p.m. EST on Jan. 26-30 through Zoom. Topics include organic certification, organic vegetable seeds and crop production, and handling barriers to transitioning to organic production.

The Conference has asked several organic groups to co-organize the event – COTA/Canada Organic Trade Association, OCO/Organic Council of Ontario, COG/Canadian Organic Growers, EFAO/Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario + High Mowing Seeds, then finally Gary Zimmer along with SureSource Commodities/organic grain trader for the Saturday cropping program, assisted by OCO.
