Charlottetown, PEI – P.E.I. potato farmers will soon have to wage war on
wireworm without a chemical critical in the pest’s eradication.

Some P.E.I. potato farmers
are facing a serious infestation of wireworm and the only fix – Thimet – will
be unavailable as the Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency phases
out the product next year.
