PEI blueberry plant expanding

July 5, 2013, Charlottetown, PEI – Blueberry processing is about to get a huge boost in West St. Peters.

The Wyman’s plant hopes to more than double production, from eight million pounds per year to 20 million pounds. The company says it needs to expand to accommodate a state-of-the-art processing facility.

Wyman’s indicates the amount of blueberries it grows and purchases each year is exceeding the company’s capability to process the berries. READ MORE
