PEI apple you-picks have hot year

October 29, 2013, Charlottetown, PEI – P.E.I. apple growers are reporting one of their best seasons ever, especially when it came to you-pick sales.

Barry Balsom, president of the P.E.I. Apple Growers Association and owner of Arlington Orchards, told CBC News his sales were up 20 per cent this year and other growers had the same success. Much of that business came from people picking their own fruit. READ MORE
