that prevents their workers from joining unions was upheld in an 8-1 ruling on
Friday.

“We’re delighted with it,”
said Ken Forth, a Lynden, Ont., broccoli farmer who is also chair of the Labour
Issues Co-Ordinating Committee, an umbrella group of organizations that
represented farmers on the issue in front of the Supreme Court.
