Ontario apple crop down due to spring frost

September 4, 2015, Clarington, Ont – Ontario orchards have lost half their apple crop this year due to a late spring frost that damaged the blossoms.
“Right now we have at least half a crop of apples. I consider myself blessed to have that,” said Charles Stevens, owner of Wilmot Orchards and chairman of the Ontario Apple Growers Association. “There are growers that have a lot less.” READ MORE
