OMAFRA: Keep an eye on Alternaria in Brassicas and carrots

The vegetable crop team for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) has released an update for the end of August, featuring information on growing degree days, weather and rainfall, as well as status reports for many vegetable crops.
The team recommends continued scouting for insect and disease pressure issues, as the dry, hot conditions of the past week in parts of the province is changing which issues are more prevalent. Alternaria is spreading in Brassicas and carrots, and aster yellows incidence in carrots has been high this year. |READ MORE
