wildbbLowbush blueberries are the number one agricultural crop in terms of export sales in Nova Scotia.

Increasingly, the health benefits of blueberries are becoming recognized worldwide.

This year’s crop is expected to exceed 40 million lbs, making it the fifth largest crop on record resulting in a farm gate value in excess of $24,000,000. More than 1000 growers produce lowbush blueberries on approximately 40,000 acres.

Nova Scotia is the largest processor of wild blueberries in the world, resulting in numerous value-added jobs.
