The provincial grant will support a culinary tourism campaign, local food advertising campaign in target markets, support Ontario’s largest rural fair and the Norfolk FlavourFest program, and help develop agri-tourism and wholesale food sales in Norfolk County.

Over three years, the provincial funding will augment $133,000 in existing marketing dollars provided by Norfolk County, the Norfolk County Agricultural Society, and the Norfolk District Business Development Corporation.

Norfolk County’s agriculture marketing campaign currently involves 60 farmers and food producers who financially support a map and local food guide, as well as a local food website at www.norfolkfarms.com.
