This award celebrates innovative ideas, projects or programs that deliver economic, environmental or social benefits to the B.C. agriculture and agri-food industries.

“The Investment Agriculture Foundation’s business is to support innovative ideas and projects that promote a globally competitive and sustainable agriculture and agri-food industry,” said Stuart Wilson, IAF chair. “This award allows us to celebrate innovation and recognize the innovators who make it happen.”

Last year’s recipients, Moose Meadows Farm and the Quesnel Community Economic Development Corporation (QCEDC), were honoured for their roles in the development of the emerging B.C. birch sap and syrup industry.

Nominations close November 30, 2008. The award is open to residents of B.C. and Canadian-based organizations and businesses operating in B.C.

More information and nomination forms are available at www.iafbc.ca.

The recipient will be announced in February 2009 at the Agri-Food Industry Gala.
