New Valent Canada manager

Guelph, Ont. – Todd Younghans has been named the country manager of Valent
Canada Crop and Professional Products.

Canada Crop and Professional Products

In his new role,
Younghans will oversee the strategic marketing direction of the Canadian business
unit of Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited. Valent Canada recently entered the
market with a series of new products and chemistries for the Canadian farmer,
including Valtera™ Herbicide.

Company officials say
Younghans’ extensive experience in the agriculture industry will help him lead
the Valent Canada team as the company and its crop protection portfolio grow.

For 10 years, Younghans
has worked in various sales, marketing, business and product management roles
in the Canadian agricultural and crop protection industries. Younghans was most
recently working with Monsanto Canada as the company’s trait business manager.
He also has held a range of management and leadership roles at Cargill Ltd.,
Tiger Industries Ltd. and NEXUS Ag Business.

Younghans holds a
bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Alberta, an advanced
graduate diploma in management from Athabasca University and a master of
business administration from the University of Guelph.
