Interested producers would be organized into groups within a local geographical area with potentially similar crops and operations. Sessions would be held once per month in the evening over the cropping season.

The voluntary system will allow producers to exchange information and ideas with their peers, build knowledge and skills, see different operations and learn from other growers and crop specialists.

Rob Spencer, commercial horticulture specialist with the Ag Info Centre, is organizing interested producers into geographic groups. If you're interested in participating, call Rob at 310-FARM (3276).

Once a list has been generated, groups will be organized and interested parties contacted. If there are not sufficient numbers in one area, no group will be organized.
