Manitoba farm marketing conference in March

February 14, 2013, Dauphin, Man – The 2013 Direct Farm Marketing Conference will held in Dauphin, Man., March 8 and 9, 2013.

Manitoba Agriculture Minister Ron Kostyshen says it will help rural entrepreneurs discover new marketing concepts, better understand market trends and develop business ideas.

The conference will include sessions on producing and marketing fruit, developing a greenhouse system, building a brand name and pricing for profit.

Keynote speakers will include Hugh McPherson, a farmer with more than 15 years of experience in diversifying his farm to include entertainment.
