Manitoba is causing concern for potato growers.
Manitoba
Agriculture’s Brian Wilson says farmers are trying to get their irrigation
systems up and running.
But
he says anyone that’s irrigating along the Assiniboine River, or the diversion,
or even where the Assiniboine River supplies other sources, is a real challenge
because of really high water levels.

Wilson
says yield potential of the crop will be affected if producers cannot meet the
crop’s water requirements.
