July 16, 2009, Guelph, Ont. – Taking a page from its own traceability book, OnTrace recently announced some new developments at the organization.

OnTrace moved to a new office July 14, 2009 after having outgrown its farmhouse space, the original home of traceability in Ontario. The organization moved to more compatible offices at 1030 Gordon Street, Suite 202, Guelph, ON N1G 4X5.

The organization has also added a new toll free number – 1-888-38-TRACE (8-7223). OnTrace’s existing telephone – 519-766-9292 – and fax – 519-766-1313 – numbers will remain the same.

Nick Albu will continue in his primary role as director of technology for the company and the Ontario Agri-Food Premises Registry.

Barry Walker, director of traceability service, has a redefined role, managing the delivery of traceability services to OnTrace’s customers. Barry’s long-term objective is to extend the organization’s services and products to support whole-chain traceability.

As one of OnTrace's most familiar faces in the producer/processor community, Sara Avoledo, the customer relation’s manager, will utilize her marketing and communications expertise as well as a strong customer-relations capability to identify and propose solutions to our customers. Her objective will be to provide commercially viable solutions that our customers tell us they want and need.

OnTrace’s new operations assistant, Marianne Muth, will take over many of the day-to-day tasks that Sara previously did. In addition, Marianne will also administer the premises registry.
