Wine Press Northwest recently released the results of its sixth annual Platinum Judging Competition, which highlights 2005’s most notable Northwest wines. Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery topped the list, with 11 wines receiving Double Platinum, Platinum or Double Gold honours. Competing against more than 500 talented winemakers and wineries from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia, Jackson-Triggs Estate Wines emerged an obvious favourite among judges. This achievement comes on the heels of Wine Press Northwest’s judging of Pacific Northwest icewines this past summer, where Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate Winery also took top honours, winning Best Icewine Producer along with four other “Outstanding” designations. For Jackson-Triggs, these recent awards conclude another exciting year in which the winery has been honoured in many competitions throughout the world.
