In N.B., potatoes seed learning field

Florenceville, NB – About 1,750 students at eight elementary, middle and high
schools in New Brunswick will be off school in the next month for the potato
harvest.

Florenceville, NB – Lisa Gallagher grew up on Air Force bases and spent 25
years in Moncton before she moved to the potato belt.

“I didn’t consider myself
a country girl,” Gallagher said.

Now, however, the rural
school superintendent proudly proclaims herself as “Carleton County Lisa.”
