Improving retail aspects for producers

Jan. 14, 2014, Simcoe, ON – Farm Credit Canada is inviting agriculture producers to come out and learn from experts in the agriculture industry at an FCC Ag Knowledge Exchange event coming soon to Ontario.

FCC Ag Knowledge Exchange events are free educational events open to the public that feature hands-on workshops and seminars to help producers make the most of their opportunities, improve their management skills and get information and insight from leading farm management experts.

The next event is entitled “Optimizing Your Selling Strategy into Retail Markets,” presented by John F. T. Scott, an economist, president and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers.

In this session, Scott will share strategies that can help producers move up the value chain, including what retailers look for in new product, how to keep their hard-won shelf space and how to identify their end consumer. Attendees will learn how the industry and its players are changing, gain insight into how to position products for different retailers, understand the future of value-added products and more.

“Optimizing Your Selling Strategy into Retail Markets” will take place January 21st, 2014 from 1–3:30 p.m.
