Grapevine moth sparks quarantine in California

Agriculture officials have ordered an eradication program and quarantine
of a five-mile area of Santa Cruz County because of the discovery of a second European
grapevine moth.

CA – Agriculture officials have ordered an eradication program and quarantine
of a five-mile area of Santa Cruz County because of the discovery of a second European
grapevine moth.

The Santa Cruz County
Agricultural Commission
announced June 14 that a male moth was found in a trap
in Aptos on June 7. A moth was trapped in the same area in September.
