Grape Growers of Ontario re-elect chair

Ray Duc will continue to head the board of the Grape Growers of Ontario for the 2005-2006 term.

Ray Duc will continue to head the board of the Grape Growers of Ontario for the 2005-2006 term. Duc, who farms a 200-acre wine grape operation and a 30-acre peach orchard with his wife Linda, served as a GGO director from 1992 to 1998 and became chair in 2003. Bill George Jr. was also re-elected to the position of vice-chair. He farms an 80-acre wine grape operation in Beamsville with his wife, Leslieann. An additional member has been added to the board for a total of eight members. In addition to the chair and vice-chair, six board directors were also elected. They include Steve Fernick of Grimsby, Bart Huisman of St. Catharines, Helmut Klassen of Niagara-on-the-Lake, Juan Neumann of Niagara-on-the-Lake, John Thwaites of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and David Wiley of Lincoln.
