June 26, 2009, Toronto, Ont. – The weekly market at Toronto’s Metro
Hall and Nathan Philip’s Square, have been shut down because of the
city’s civic workers’ strike.

Even though they aren't city run, Toronto officials have cancelled permits for the popular outdoor farmers' markets.
