Quebec strawberry supply to meet regional demand

July 2, 2014, Quebec City, Que – The Association of Quebec Strawberries and Raspberries has done a good job of promoting strawberries as a local crop in Quebec, says Andre Plante, general manager of the Quebec Produce Growers Association.

The season ramped up June 16 with berries priced 40 per cent higher than imports, said Gilles Motard, director of logistics and operations for Montreal foodservice distributor Hector Larivée. READ MORE
