Charlottetown, PEI – The annual Farmers Helping Farmers beef barbeque is an opportunity
to raise money to help farm families in Kenya while mixing and mingling with
old friends, says FHF president Jeff Wichtel.

Charlottetown, PEI – The annual Farmers Helping Farmers beef barbeque is an opportunity
to raise money to help farm families in Kenya while mixing and mingling with
old friends, says FHF president Jeff Wichtel.

“This is an event that
people annually look forward to attending. The barbeque is a chance for people
to meet new friends and become reacquainted with old friends,” Wichtel said.

This year marks the 28th
annual beef barbeque fundraiser and it is scheduled for Saturday, August 14,
from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Harrington Research Farm, civic number 1200
Brackley Point Road.

The menu is all Prince
Edward Island products and includes barbequed steak, salad bar, new potatoes
and strawberry shortcake.

Farmers Helping Farmers
is a Prince Edward Island-based organization committed to undertaking
development initiatives to improve the lives of farm families in Kenya.

Tickets for the barbeque
are $25 each, $5 for children under 12, and are available at the Riverview
Country Market, the Queen Street Coop, Farmers Helping Farmers members or by
calling (902) 393-8663.
