Garlic and Vegetable IPM - Eastern Ontario

Location: Kemptville, Ont.
Workshops led by Travis Cranmer and Dennis Van Dyk (OMAFRA Vegetable Specialists) will focus on garlic production and pest management as well as scouting and pest management in other vegetable crops including carrots, brassica crops and potatoes. The garlic portion of the workshops will cover many topics such as production including clean seed, cultivar selection, seeding density, nutrient testing, scape removal, weed control, crop insurance, harvesting, grading, storing as well as scouting/pest management. Based on registration feedback, scouting for pest and pathogens in other vegetable crops will also be covered.
