The current downy mildew control strategy recommends a seven day fungicide spray program rotating between Tattoo C and Ranman 400SC fungicides. Use the high rates as the canopy begins to close over and when the weather forecast is calling for cool, wet weather.

Apply fungicides in a minimum of 30 gal. of water per acre and ensure thorough coverage of all crop areas, including field edges.

Dithane and Bravo may be used for broad spectrum disease control in other vine crops such as cantaloupe, watermelons, pumpkins, squash and zuuchini. Note that these products will not provide sufficient control in cucumber crops at this time.
