Cover crops can have numerous economic and environmental benefits as part of a crop rotation. But figuring out where to start can be difficult. They don’t fit on every farm, so it’s important to know your goals when choosing a cover crop.

Anne Verhallen, OMAFRA soil management specialist, horticulture, breaks down the options, benefits and pitfalls for Ontario growers.
