Great Value puts more Canada in your Ketchup

May 8, 2017, Mississauga, Ont. – Considering Canadians’ preference for tomatoes grown at home, Great Value has created a selection of sauce recipes that put even more Canada into ketchup.

“Last year Canadians voiced their opinion about the importance of buying ketchup made with our own tomatoes,” said Paul Goldsmith, senior director of brand management, private brands at Walmart Canada. “We couldn’t agree more and want to take that sentiment even further. Starting with our Great Value Ketchup as a base, we’ve come up with a few suggestions to get more Canada into your ketchup.”

The new Great Value Ketchup was introduced in May and will be available in all Walmart Supercentres by July.

Ontario is home to the tomatoes and production of the new sauce that is made without high-fructose corn syrup and is free of artificial colours, artificial flavours and preservatives.
