Site-Specific TOMcast, available through Weather INnovations Incorporated, is a forecasting service that provides farmers with timely weather and “Disease Severity Values.” TOMcast reports provide documentation to support the use of crop protection products. Included in the AGRIS TOMcast reports will be other weather-based information useful for tomato production decisions.
“AGRIS Co-operative is strategically located in key tomato growing areas to facilitate delivery of this unique service,” says Don Kabbes, AGRIS Co-operative crop manager. “We are providing selected tomato growers with site-specific management tools for their tomato fields.”
These reports are targeted to the field level using the Weather INnovations monitoring and advisory system.
For more information on how to sign-up for Site-Specific TOMcast, contact the Chatham, Cottam, Leamington, Stoney Point or Tupperville AGRIS Co-operative branches.
