Climate change is happening, and the impacts are being felt around the world. In Ontario, warmer winters, hotter drier summers, and extreme weather events have already impacted many communities and sectors.

During this one-hour webinar Al Douglas, director at the Ontario Centre for Climate Impacts and Adaptation Resources (OCCIAR), located at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ont., will discuss climate change, its associated impacts, and how to respond through adaptation.

Douglas has extensive experience in climate science; climate change impact, vulnerability and risk assessment; policy development and adaptation planning in natural resource sectors and is a member of Canada’s Expert Panel on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience Results.

Join us as we explore University-based research on climate change and the impact it has on fruit and vegetable crops, adaptation to climate, tools to assist with adaptation and best production practices.
