CASA offers farm safety courses free of charge for farmers

Until Sept. 30, 2020, the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Health online course will be offered free of charge.

The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association (CASA) is making three online courses available free of charge to producers until Sept. 30, 2020.

The following courses will be offered free of charge: CASA Tractor and Farm Machinery, Seasonal Agricultural Workers Health and Safety Orientation and Dairy Worker Safety Orientation Series.

These courses will be available for any farm owner, operator or worker to best prepare new and seasonal workers on the farm.

“We understand that during these uncertain times, it may be necessary to hire workers unfamiliar with agriculture and the unique risks and hazards associated with farming. We hope that in providing access to these courses to help mitigate these challenges,” the CASA site reads.
