November 27, 2009, Langley, BC – Bevo Agro Inc.’s revenues more than doubled in the first quarter, helping slash its loss substantially.
Bevo had a loss of $103,690 or less than a penny a share for the period ended Sept. 30. That compared with a loss of $717,161 or three cents a share in the same period a year ago.
The company, which grows vegetable and bedding plants, had revenues of $3 million, $871,378 of it came from a federal program that provides financial assistance to farms.
AgriStability helps companies that experience margin declines.
Bevo Agro generated revenues of $1.3 million last year.
The company is a certified organic grower that propagates tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, flowers and poinsettias.
