BC Tree Fruits celebrating apple month

February 1, 2013, Kelowna, BC – The team at B.C. Tree Fruits is ramping up for a busy February as they celebrate national Apple Month 2013.

Several consumer and retailer events honoring apple month will take place in cities across B.C, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba through the month of February.

“Many consumers don’t typically think of February as a month for fresh fruit, however local apples are available fresh throughout the long winter months,” said Chris Pollock, marketing manager for B.C. Tree Fruits.

Canadians are encouraged to get in on the apple month action through the Good To Go campaign. Good To Go asks fans where and how they enjoy B.C.’s best apples and share a photo showcasing their apple love wherever they may be – and wherever hunger strikes. The winning photo chosen by apple fans will be a cash prize of $2000 and $2000 to the winner’s charity of choice.
