Barry Walker joins OnTrace

OnTrace Agri-food Traceability recently announced the appointment of
Barry Walker to the position of director of product management.

June 12, 2008, Guelph, Ont. – OnTrace Agri-food Traceability recently announced the appointment of Barry Walker to the position of director of product management.

Barry’s responsibilities will include managing the future design and deployment of traceability solutions for OnTrace’s clients in the agriculture and agri-food industry.

In his new role, Barry will work closely with partners and stakeholders in the implementation of traceability related products and programs.

Barry brings strong leadership and product development skills to this role at OnTrace combined with a proven track record in the agri-food community. His experience includes project management of industry and government on-farm traceability projects. He has also served as the manager of information technology at Agricorp and brings a proven track record in building relationships, having worked closely with Ontario’s agricultural groups, government officials, producers and service providers.

Barry holds an Honours, three-year computer science diploma from Northern College and graduated from York University as a certified e-commerce professional. Prior to his appointment with OnTrace, he operated his own consultancy services firm.
