June 3, 2015, Bowmanville, Ont – Agro-100, a Quebec based company specializing in the production of fertilizers and agro-foliars, is expanding its market into Ontario.
Agro-100 president and CEO, Stéphane Beaucage, recently announced the appointment of Steve Marshall as territory manager. Marshall brings a wealth of industry experience in business development and marketing to the company. In his new position, he will be responsible for the development of specialized Agro-100 products, including Ka-Lime and agro-foliars, primarily in markets to the west of Bowmanville.
“The arrival of Steve Marshall forms an integral part of our growth strategy, and demonstrates our strength in Ontario’s diverse agricultural sector,” said Beaucage, adding major commercial crops, such as soybeans, corn, mixed grains, forage crops, wheat and barley, are prime opportunities for business development.
“In addition, the production of vegetables and fruits, such as grapes, apples, berries and other soft fruits, represent considerable untapped markets for Agro-100.”
“The Ontario marketplace offers undeniable growth opportunities, spread out over nine million acres of cropland,” said Marshall. “This represents roughly 10.2 per cent of the total cropland area of Canada.”
